At Light In The Space, we specialize in genuinely handcrafted leather artistry. Every coin purse, wristlet, crossbody bag, and bag charm in our collection is made in-house by our own skilled craftspeople in Shenzhen, China — individually cut, tooled, and hand-finished before it is packaged and shipped to you.
We are committed to delivering your order with full transparency and care. This Shipping and Delivery Policy covers everything you need to know about how we process, ship, and track your order from our facility in Shenzhen, China to your door in the United States.
This policy applies to all orders placed at lightinthespace.com and shipped to the contiguous United States.

1. SHIPPING COST
We are proud to offer free standard shipping on every order within the contiguous United States. There are no hidden fees, no handling charges, and no minimum order requirements. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — shipping included.

2. ORDER PROCESSING AND TRANSIT TIMES
Understanding the difference between handling time and transit time helps set accurate expectations for your delivery.
Order Cut-off Time: 5:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time — New York)
Orders placed before 5:00 PM EST on a business day will begin processing the same day. Orders placed after 5:00 PM EST, on weekends, or on US public holidays will begin processing the following business day.
Handling Time: 1–3 Business Days (Monday–Friday)
This is the time our team takes to inspect, pack, and prepare your handcrafted item for dispatch. Because each piece is individually made and hand-finished, we take care to ensure your item is packaged securely before it leaves our facility. Orders are not processed on weekends or US public holidays.
Transit Time: 7–15 Business Days (Monday–Friday)
This is the time your package spends in transit from our facility in Shenzhen, China to your delivery address in the contiguous United States. Transit time begins once your order has been dispatched and a tracking number has been assigned.
Estimated Total Delivery Time: 8–18 Business Days
This is the combined estimate from the time you place your order to the time it arrives at your door.
Although our business and production facility are based in Shenzhen, China, we operate, ship, and provide customer support on New York time (EST). Since we export exclusively to the United States, our entire support team works on EST business hours to ensure seamless service for our US customers.

3. SHIPPING ORIGIN AND TRACKING
To bring you high-quality, genuinely handcrafted leather goods at competitive prices, all products are made and shipped directly from our facility in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Shenzhen is a globally recognized center of leather craftsmanship, and it is where our in-house team designs, crafts, and ships every piece in our collection.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email containing your unique tracking number. You can use this tracking number to monitor your package's journey in real time through our website or directly through the carrier's tracking portal.

4. SHIPPING TERRITORY AND RESTRICTIONS
We currently ship exclusively to the contiguous United States.
Excluded Locations:
We do not ship to the following locations at this time:
- Alaska
- Hawaii
- U.S. Territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Northern Mariana Islands)
- APO, FPO, and DPO military addresses
- P.O. Boxes
Address Restrictions:
To ensure secure and reliable delivery of your handcrafted order, we require a full residential or commercial street address. We are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or military forwarding addresses.

5. DELIVERY DELAYS
We make every effort to meet our estimated delivery windows of 8–18 business days. However, there are circumstances beyond our control that may occasionally affect transit time, including:
- International customs clearance procedures
- Extreme weather conditions
- Carrier operational delays
- US public holidays
If your order has not arrived within 18 business days of receiving your Shipping Confirmation, please contact our support team at support@lightinthespace.com with your order number. We will investigate the status of your shipment and work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

6. CUSTOMS AND IMPORT
All orders shipped from our facility in Shenzhen, China to the contiguous United States are exported as standard international packages. In most cases, no additional customs duties or import fees are charged to the customer for personal-use leather accessories at our price range. However, Light In The Space is not responsible for any customs fees, duties, or import taxes that may be applied by US Customs and Border Protection or any other authority.
If you have concerns about customs or import duties for your specific location, we recommend checking with your local customs office before placing your order.

7. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we will provide a prepaid return label at no cost to you. For change-of-mind returns, our 30-day return window applies and return shipping to our Shenzhen facility is at the customer's expense (estimated $15–$30 via USPS).

From the first cut of leather to the final hand-stitched detail, every step of production takes place within our own facility. Only our metal hardware components such as clasps and locks are sourced externally.
