We purchased this light to replace an old light fixture in our kitchen. It does take at least two people to install this light bar. Its very bright and you can angle the light bulbs different directions.

I like the look of this fixture, its something different, and it provides a good amount of light. Regrettably my opinion is not shared by everyone in the house but some people are just wrong.

I installed this light over a round glass dining table and it is beautiful. It takes six light bulbs which offer plenty of light, and the shells soften it to a lovely glow. Installing the light was easy, I was able to do it by myself. I used only one of the two down rods. Attaching the shells is time consuming but not difficult. The shells are packaged by length with several extra shells in case any are damaged. I did not need the extras and found that the shells are durable despite being thin enough to be translucent. I shopped for this style of light for a few weeks and found the quality and price of this one to be great
