Light In The Space was founded on September 15, 2025, with a mission to bring genuinely handcrafted leather accessories to customers across the contiguous United States. Every piece in our collection is made in-house by our own skilled craftspeople in Shenzhen, China, and shipped directly to your door.

SECTION A — ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS AND BRAND
Q1. Are your products genuinely handmade?
Yes. Every leather accessory sold at lightinthespace.com is made in-house by our own skilled craftspeople in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. The entire production process — including leather cutting, shaping, 3D tooling, carving, and hand-stitching — is carried out within our own facility. The only components we source externally are metal hardware items such as clasps and locks, which are precision-sourced to ensure lasting durability. No step of our leather production is outsourced to a third-party manufacturer.
Q2. What collections do you offer?
We currently offer four collections at lightinthespace.com:
- Fauna and Flora Finds — Our signature collection of 3D animal-themed coin purses, wristlets, and crossbody bags featuring owls, butterflies, chameleons, foxes, dragonflies, hummingbirds, bats, parrots, and more
- Hands-Free Carriers — Compact leather crossbody bags designed for everyday freedom and convenience
- Pocket Organizers — Slim coin purses, card holders, and wristlet wallets for organized everyday carry
- Artisan Accents — Handcrafted leather bag charms and keychains to personalize your accessories
Q3. What colors are available?
Our leather accessories are available in a carefully curated range of colors including Burgundy, Teal, Gold, Brown, Maroon, Purple, Orange, and more. Specific color options for each product are listed on the individual product pages at lightinthespace.com.
Q4. Why does my item look slightly different from the product photo?
Because every piece is individually handcrafted, minor natural variations in color, texture, and finish may exist between items and the product images shown on our website. These subtle differences are a natural characteristic of genuine handcrafted leather goods and are not considered defects. Each piece is unique by nature.
Q5. Where is Light In The Space based?
We are based in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Our production facility, craftspeople, and warehouse are all located in Shenzhen — a globally recognized hub of skilled leather craftsmanship. Although we are China-based, we operate our customer support on New York time (EST) since we ship exclusively to the contiguous United States.

Light In The Space was founded on September 15, 2025. We are a young brand, but our commitment to craftsmanship, transparency, and customer satisfaction is the foundation everything we do is built on.

SECTION B — ORDERING
Q7. How do I place an order?
Simply browse our collections at lightinthespace.com, select the item and color you want, and click "Add to Cart." When you are ready, proceed to checkout, enter your delivery address and payment details, and confirm your order. You will receive an Order Confirmation email once your purchase is complete.
Q8. Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?
You may request a modification or cancellation within 12 hours of placing your order, provided it has not yet entered our handling and processing stage. To request a change or cancellation, email support@lightinthespace.com immediately with your order number and the subject line "Order Change Request" or "Order Cancellation Request." We process orders quickly, so prompt contact is essential.
Q9. I did not receive an Order Confirmation email. What should I do?
Please check your spam or junk folder first. If the confirmation is not there, contact us at support@lightinthespace.com with the email address you used at checkout and we will resend it.
Q10. Do you offer gift wrapping or personalized messages?
At this time, we do not offer gift wrapping or personalized messages with orders. We may introduce this option in the future. Follow us on social media or subscribe to our emails to stay updated on new features and offerings.

SECTION C — SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Q11. How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is completely free on all orders to the contiguous United States. There are no handling fees or hidden charges. The price you see at checkout is the final price you pay.
Q12. Where do you ship from?
All orders are shipped directly from our facility in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China.
Q13. How long does delivery take?
Our estimated delivery timeline is as follows:
- Order Cut-off Time: 5:00 PM EST
- Handling Time: 1–3 Business Days (Monday–Friday)
- Transit Time: 7–15 Business Days (Monday–Friday)
- Estimated Total Delivery Time: 8–18 Business Days
Please note that business days do not include weekends or US public holidays.
Q14. Do you ship to all US states?
We ship exclusively to the contiguous United States. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories (including Puerto Rico and Guam), P.O. Boxes, or APO/FPO military addresses.
Q15. How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email containing your tracking number. You can use this number to track your package directly through our website or the carrier's tracking portal.
Q16. My order has not arrived within 18 business days. What should I do?
If your order has not arrived within 18 business days of receiving your Shipping Confirmation email, please contact us at support@lightinthespace.com with your order number. We will investigate with the carrier and work to resolve the issue promptly.
Q17. Can my order be delayed?
In some cases, transit times may be affected by international customs clearance, extreme weather, or carrier delays. These situations are outside our control. If your order is significantly delayed, please do not hesitate to contact our support team.
Q18. Will I be charged customs or import duties?
In most cases, no additional customs duties or import fees are charged on personal-use leather accessories at our price range when shipped to the US. However, Light In The Space is not responsible for any customs fees or import taxes that may be applied by US Customs and Border Protection. If you have concerns, we recommend checking with your local customs office before placing your order.

SECTION D — RETURNS, EXCHANGES, AND REFUNDS
Q19. What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, items must be unused, unworn, and in their original packaging with all tags attached. Items showing signs of use, wear, or alteration are not eligible for return.
Q20. How do I start a return?
Email support@lightinthespace.com with your order number and the reason for your return. Once approved, we will send you full return instructions. Please do not ship items back without first receiving authorization from our team.
Q21. Who pays for return shipping?
This depends on the reason for the return:
- Defective or incorrect items: We provide a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you ($0.00). Please send us photos or a video of the issue by email.
- Change-of-mind returns (wrong color, no longer wanted, etc.): Return shipping to our warehouse in Shenzhen, China is at the customer's expense. Based on typical USPS First Class International rates, this cost is approximately $15–$30 USD depending on package weight.
Q22. Do you charge restocking fees?
No. We do not charge any restocking fees ($0.00).
Q23. How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, approved refunds are applied to your original payment method within 5 business days. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take an additional 5–10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.
Q24. What happens if my return is rejected?
If a returned item does not meet our return conditions (unused, unworn, original packaging, within 30-day window), we will notify you by email. The item will be shipped back to you at your expense. If the return shipping cost is not covered within 14 days of notification, the item will be discarded.
Q25. Can I exchange an item for a different color or style?
Yes. We accept exchanges for different styles or colors within 30 days of delivery. Here is how it works:
Step 1 — Contact us at support@lightinthespace.com with your order number and the item you would like instead.
Step 2 — Ship your original item back to our warehouse in Shenzhen, China at your expense (estimated $15–$30 via USPS).
Step 3 — Once we receive and inspect your item (within 2 business days), we ship your replacement at no additional charge. Standard delivery takes 7–15 business days.
Estimated total exchange time: 4–7 weeks.
